This fun-filled piece fuses the imaginative melodies and rhythms of “Up on the Housetop” and Tchaikovsky’s “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy.” When winter came around during the pandemic, I felt the need to create a happy, uplifting arrangement of holiday favorites for our young choristers to sing during the time they were stuck at home during the holidays. What better way to create joy than to imagine dear Old St. Nick and his reindeer beep-bopping on the roof tops in ballet shoes? I hope it brings joy and laughter to all who sing and listen.

Up on the housetop reindeer pause,

Out jumps good old Santa Claus.
